Changes in Instagram Integration Feature

Here is an important note regarding our 'Advanced Activity Feeds / Wall Plugin'. Few months back, we had developed a feature of displaying 'Instagram feeds' on websites using this plugin. Unfortunately, Instagram Team has put certain restrictions in their API because of which it would not be possible to display 'Instagram' Feeds on SocialEngine based websites using this plugin.

Amendments in Instagram's API Policies from Nov 17, 2015:

We were using this node: /users/self/feed to fetch Instagram feeds using their API and display those feeds on SocialEngine based websites using our plugin. This node has now been deprecated by Instagram in their API. [You may read more about this deprecation on their website here: https://www.instagram.com/developer/changelog under 17th Nov'15].

They have now released a new permission 'public_content' that users would need to get approved. Using this permission, users can get only those Instagram feeds displayed which they 'have liked' or 'have been uploaded' through them. To check this, we submitted our Instagram App to get this permission 'public_content' but our app was not approved. We got a reply from Instagram team mentioning that 'our App didn't fall in any of the 3 use cases mentioned by Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/developer/review/ (under 'What are the Valid Use Cases?') '.

You may read about this in more details here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/34601413/instagram-api-permission-declined-invalid-use-case

After following the complete process, we concluded that it would not be possible to display Instagram Feeds on websites anymore and we would have to deprecate this feature from our plugin now. So, we've removed "Instagram" tab from the 'Advanced Activity Feeds" widget / block of our Advanced Activity Feeds / Wall Plugin and upgraded this plugin.
