Amazon SES (Amazon Simple Email Service) provides a reliable source for sending quick mails. It gives you the platform for sending all kinds of email with assurance of deliverability on time. It is a highly scalable and cost-effective service which will cost you not more than $1 or $2 if you send less than 2000 mails per day.
SES provides you only “Send Only Mail” feature, by which you can send email only from your SocialEngine website with 100% assurance of deliverability, also:
- You cannot receive mail
- You cannot view sent mail
However, if you want to send, receive and view email also then you can purchase our service: Google Apps Setup for Business Email, Docs, Calendar and more, which provides you the interface for managing your mails.
This service is useful for configuring the 'Mail Settings' section in the admin panel of your SocialEngine website, so after configuring this service on Amazon we wil be doing changes under 'Mail Settings' section for these settings: Send through SMTP, SMTP Server Address, SMTP Server Port, SMTP Authentication, SMTP Username, SMTP Password, Use SSL or TLS.
