You may know that SocialEngine has launched the Certified Marketplace few months ago, to list down all the certified products at one place. So, now, you can choose between certified and noncertified products. Choosing a certified product will allow you to rest assured that the product has been tested to install on a fresh SocialEngine site while producing no errors. But, you may be having some doubts regarding how our services or SocialEngineAddOns’ services work after the launch of the SocialEngine marketplace for example how you can buy certified products, who will provide you support for certified products, etc. So, this blogpost is made just to clear all such doubts and queries. Please go through the below set of queries that may be your queries too and clear your doubts.

 

Q 1: How to purchase a certified product?

Ans: You can purchase our certified products from the SocialEngine Marketplace. You can find our certified products list here: https://www.socialengine.com/experts/profile/socialengineaddons#products-php .

 

Q 2: How can I download / install / upgrade a certified product?

Ans: Certified products show up in the account dashboard on the SocialEngine website when you purchase them. You (the client) can download the product and its further upgrades from there. In your account dashboard you will find the latest file of the product. If you want to get a specific version of file then you can get it from the product profile page under the “Releases” tab. Whenever we release an upgrade of a product, then that will also be upgraded on the SE marketplace, so you can easily download the upgradable version from there.

 

Q 3: How can I be notified for your upgrade of a product?

Ans: You can subscribe to our newsletters for getting in touch with us and our products. Whenever we release a major upgrade of a product, then we send a newsletter for the same. We’ve provided the option to subscribe to newsletters in the footer section of our website.

 

Q 4: I am using a non certified product on my website. What will happen if this product gets certified later?

What happens with current purchases if a product gets certified? Will I still be able to get updates?

Ans: Current purchases of non certified products would not be impacted by the certified marketplace. You can still get updates from your SocialEngineAddOns Client Area of these products.

 

Q 5: Do you have an upgrade path for products purchased prior to Certification? That is if the future upgrade available directly from you will be the same product (file(s)) as the Certified product or if it will be different.

Ans: If any of our products that have been purchased by you from our website, then you are able to upgrade the plugin from our site using our upgrade process which is added in our Core Plugin. After releasing a certified product on the SE Marketplace, both the plugin from SEAO website and SE marketplace are same. We have done this so that the clients who have already purchased the plugins before certification can avail same benefits. But, as you downloaded the product from our website it’s referred to as non-certified. But, in terms of files & database changes, there will be no difference.

 

Q 6: Will there be any cost involved if we get an upgrade from you of a plugin after it has been certified?

Ans: We do not have any plans as of now to include any cost for providing upgrades to our clients for certified plugins. But, if any major efforts of ours are involved in upgrading any plugin then there may be charges depending on the efforts we put in!

 

Q 7: Will I get support from SocialEngineAddOns for certified products I purchased from SocialEngine marketplace?

How can I access the support of a certified product purchased from SocialEngine marketplace?

Ans: We are happy to let you know that currently, we are offering two months free support starting from the purchasing date of our certified products from the SocialEngine website. This is the same support that we provide for our non certified products. So, if you purchase a SocialEngineAddOns plugin from the SocialEngine marketplace, then please contact our sales team at sales@socialengineaddons.com after purchasing the certified product to avail the free support. You just need to provide us your order id or receipt of the payment of the product purchased and we’ll help you in the best possible way.

 

Q 8: Will I get installation service for a certified product purchased from the SocialEngine website?

Ans: We are happy to let you know that currently we are offering free installation service for all our SocialEngine certified products. Please contact our sales team after purchasing a SocialEngineAddOns certified product at sales@socialengineaddons.com to avail this offer and provide us either your order id or receipt of payment.

 

Q 9: Can I get support from SocialEngine for our certified products I purchase from SocialEngine website?

Who will provide support for SEAO certified products which I purchase from SocialEngine website?

Ans: No, SocialEngine does not provide support for certified products. We are responsible for providing support for our certified products. So you may directly contact us for it.

 

Q 10: As you recommend that we should buy SocialEngine certified products, so what about those products that are not yet certified by SocialEngine and we need to purchase those?

Ans: We are continuously working on our plugin's certification and hopefully will get all our plugins certified very soon. A number of our plugins have been certified also and you may explore those on the SocialEngine Marketplace.
SocialEngine has also been helping us by making changes if required to complete the plugin certification quickly. We have also requested the SE team to make some changes, once completed that will speed up the certification process.
All of our plugins "certified & non-certified" are completely compatible with SocialEngine's latest version, so you can purchase a plugin from us and whenever that plugin will get certified in the near future, then, you can upgrade the plugin on your site. We’ll provide you the upgrade file for that plugin and the file would be exactly be the same file that will be available on the SocialEngine marketplace.

 

Q 11: Do you have a plan of getting all your products / plugins certified or will any of the products not be certified?

Ans: All of our plugins will be certified and released on the SocialEngine marketplace very soon for purchase. We try to accommodate all the features of our plugin in the certified version that are offered in non-certified version, but since there are some plugins that have a dependency on other plugins to work, we need to work on certification of multiple plugins at once that may sometimes hold-up the certification process.

 

Q 12: Will SocialEngineAddOns discount coupons / offers be valid on purchase of certified products from the SocialEngine marketplace?

Ans: No, SocialEngineAddOns coupons / offers will not be valid on purchase of any certified products from the SocialEngine marketplace.

 

Q 13: What in case if due to any reasons, I want to get refund for a certified product I purchased from SocialEngine marketplace? Who will provide me the refund?

Ans: If due to any unfortunate reasons, you want refund for any of our certified product you’ve purchased from the SocialEngine marketplace, then as you have done the payment to SocialEngine for the product, so, SocialEngine team itself would handle your refund request per the refund terms.

 

SocialEngine marketplace is built keeping in mind the sake of its clients. The certified products will work error free, will not modify SocialEngine core any other modules installed on your site and would work independently. You can easily trust on the quality of certified products as these have been tested by SocialEngine itself. So, go for certified products as bug free plugins will make your website work smoothly which will make you tension free.
